FI(A)

The aim of this course is to train the student in order that he can provide courses for single or multi-engine aircraft as a flight instructor (FI). On successful completion of the examinations, the student is licensed to provide student training at PPL (A) level. As flight hours and number of hours completed as a FI increase, the Civil Aviation Authority (ÚCL) will over time give you the right (cancel restrictions) to provide advanced courses (CPL etc.).

Applicants for FI qualification must be CPL or PPL holders and have flown at least 200 hours, of which 150 should be as pilot-in-command. The training course will not be complete until the applicant for flight instructor certification is able to undertake the position of instructor with the methods and turnover required for skills testing according to the rules for holders of this qualification.
